Good Morning, Alina, Very Good, I was wondering the same thing only I was talking about it on SouthernMaples' other Asheville, NC thread.
Sodalite versus Blue Quartz.
I believe a fluorescence test would help answer the question.
The piece SM found in the driveway looks more like Sodalite to me than the blue quartz. Your picture from Mindat looks like the blue quartz I've seen from around here. Very fractured and reconstituted looking. It is a very old rock, 700 million or older, so it shows it's age. I've added some pictures of a piece I have below.
There are several rocks, minerals, or quartz colored this blue by inclusions of Rutile. Dumortierite for one. And, yes, I believe there is some sort of light-refraction shenanigans going on but that is way past my pay grade to explain.
The piece SM found in the driveway looks more like Sodalite than the Blue Quartz to me, but if it is Sodalite, and I'm doubting it, how'd it get there?
And exactly where did the gravel in that driveway come from?
Lots of questions
