Any ideas on this one?  It has some similarities to tektite but has some metalic qualities in certajn areas of the stone. :) These metalic areas look bronzy and even silver in some parts.  It is a very hard stone.  Nothing scrathes it so far that I've found.  Just wondering if I should dig deeper on this one if there is a strong possibility it is a black diamond :o.  Its as big as my palm as well.

Well that almost looks like it could be slag. I can tell you that it's certainly not a diamond. Try to do a streak test by scratching it on some white ceramic -- one trick if you don't have a piece of unpolished ceramic is to lift up and use the underside of the toilet reservoir lid to scratch on. Note the color of the streak.  As for hardness, can you scratch it with a piece of steal or glass?
