There was a lot of glass to be found, like the little metallic-like spheres, it was found inside of rocks and in soil samples. I'm not sure but I think the first three photos might be shocked glass, I found two such specimen. There were a lot of the pieces with the little air bubbles found, would love to analysis some of the air inside of those bubbles someday.

The piece with air bubbles is super cool! I mean I think those are just awesome as can be, Very unusual! A Keeper for sure. Find some more of that!!! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before!
Now I can't say if the quartz in your first 3 pics has been 'shocked' or not, but the parallel striations are a very common growth habit of quartz. They are a good identifying characteristic/signature for quartz, so not unusual. The overall shape of the piece does look possibly "melted" or stressed?
Thanks for the pics!

Those bubbles are cool, I found one that has what looks like the bubbles are full of sediments. Some of the glass was really strange, Check out this little piece, I don't have a clue as to what this is about .

Wow, Jay, Thanks for the pictures!
I don't have a clue either, but that's a Keeper! There's a world of stuff going on in that piece!
I wonder if some of the transparent geometric shapes are pieces of mica?

You're right Joe, there is something really strange going on in that area and I'm slowly piecing together the puzzle. Take a look at this odd specimen below, shocked quartz is identified by these lines that show up under a scope which they call, planar deformation features (PDF). This piece looks like it was shocked, horrified and terrified all at once.

Thanks for the pictures, Jay! This stuff is in-freakin'-credible!
You could spend years, decades, trying to answer all the questions this poses. I wouldn't know where to begin. Just amazing!
Keep us posted!

Very neat stuff! The worm structures I believe to be created by vermiform chlorite. Here's a picture of a crystal I found in Wake County where the vermiform chlorite has been completely weathered away leaving just the cavities.
