Sometimes you just gotta dig a hole to see what's in it.

Well you already know what you're doing if you're finding those crystals.  You simply follow the crystals, keep digging, and persistence pays off every time.  You may or may not find large crystals in your current spot, but using the same attention at any other prospects or newly discovered spots will eventually pay off with larger crystals.

AJackson, I'll be in the area at the end of April, not sure my schedule, but maybe we can meet up. I don't know the area that well, but know how to look for and dig veins.
I once found a few decent crystals where the vol. fire dept on mill grove rd is, but didn't have time to check it out thoroughly. Closer over towards Matthews, I used to look every chance i got, but never saw any crystals out that way.

Dave,
Sounds great. I love in Matthews off Stallings road just inside union county.  I have mainly been exploring old gold mines and new construction sites. I would really appreciate any experience you could share!
