This is a gwindel crystal group from Shalman Fata, Pakistan. Just added this to my collection. This is a new location for gwindel crystals. Normally we think about Swiss or Russian gwindels. Nice to see a new location.

That is a complex question. Something that has helped me is The Quartz Page.com There you will find an indepth discussion of the gwindel formation. I just love the beauty of the crystal growth.

As we know the joy is in the hunt. Once you find one it will just be a check on your list of goals. On to the next target....but I know it will be a great experience when you open that pocket and get relief from your complex...
Joe this is a new ball of fluorte from India. They even come in vivid red.

Ya know, John, the only reason I haven't found an NC Gwindel
yet is Scott won't let me call them one.
Round Fluorite. What will they think of next?
Great pic of an awesome little specimen.

When I find these in Arkansas wich are kinda rare to find they call them Tabby chains. and if their more on the square side with no termination point on them they call them BOX Quartz.

There is no documented Gwindel ever being found in North America. Please share some pics of your finds. Thanks
