Hi to everybody!
My name is Riccardo, I'm Italian and I live in Milan. I have been collecting minerals, gemstones and fossils since 1973 (that time I was but an 8-year-old child!) and I took a degree in natural Sciances at the University of Milan, and a diploma in Gemmology in Idar-Oberstein in 1992. Now I have a collection of over 9'000 pieces in my home and i'm a member of the Italian College of Gemmology, of the Italian Natural Sciences Society and of the German Gemmological Institute. You can also read my home-page in Mindat! See Riccardo Modanesi Mindat Home Page.
Greetings from Italy by Riccardo. Cheesy

Yes, Welcome, Riccardo.
Thanks for stopping in to say Hello. Smiley

Of course, I use Mindat all the time for mineral id
but hate to admit I have yet to navigate it much further,
let alone register. Embarrassed
I will be looking for your Homepage and hope you will be
motivated to share some of your expertise with us in the future.
Are you planning any trips to Munich in the near future?

Joe

Glad to have you join us Riccardo.  Here is the link to Riccardo's mindat homepage:  http://www.mindat.org/user-25097.html#2_0_0_0_0__

I am very much fond of the quartz found there, especially the gwindels.  I hope you can share some of your stories and pictures with us sometime.

Scott

Welcome Riccardo!  Do you happen to know Guiseppe Passarino?  He's a trading buddy of mine from Italy.
