North Carolina Amber Available at Grassy Creek Sho

I'll be at the Grassy Creek mineral show (with Joe M. and John H.) on Friday afternoon Aug. 2nd, and all day Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 3rd and 4th).  Selling NC Late Cretaceous amber found at a site studied by professor James Mickle of NC State University.  Some amber has insect or botanical inclusions.  Amber without inclusion is also for sale in vials, packets, and larger amounts.  Amber necklaces made by me will also be for sale.  Victor K.

Very glad to hear you are going to make it, Victor.
You have a great display. It always amazes me to find out NC has the same quality
gemstones and minerals as anywhere in the rest of the world.
You just have to look a little closer to find it.  Wink

Now I am shamelessly going to hop on your post of advertisement for Grassy Creek
with a few pics of my own.
I have really been enjoying getting ready for the show,
only wish I had started sooner.
Some of this rock is hard to part with without first taking a better look inside,
like this 10 lb ball of Tennessee Paint.

I'll have about 250 lbs of the Tennessee Paint Rock to look over.
And a few lbs of this Rain Forest Jasper.
I had to get a better look at this piece, too. Wink

And, besides for the Grand Debut of North Carolina's own
contribution to the world of spherulitic rhyolites,
Snow Leopard Rhyolite will be available for purchase for the first time anywhere!
And in keeping with our spherulitic theme, we also have
a little Leopard Skin Jasper for sale and about 400 lbs of this Ocean Jasper.

Hope to see y'all there. Smiley

was great to see all the fun stuff you guys had.  sorry to be so cheap (shamefully so...) but that's just the way it was that day... BUT I absolutely plan to snag a decent size piece of that leopard rhyolite of yours.  It was killer!!  'course this means I'm gonna have to get together and dig with you guys soon - been missing all of you.
