Allright, we are set for Burgin after Glendon.

All those interested in digging at the Burgin Mine Sunday,
after the Glendon dig are welcome.
I will get to the Burgin Mine about 5pm Saturday afternoon
after Glendon, and will be able to check people in.
It is $5.00 per person to camp Saturday night and $10.00 per person
to dig on Sunday.
Those that come for digging only on Sunday, I will meet
at the gate @ 9am.
For those stragglers showing up whenever you can call me on my cell and I will come down to the gate and guide you in.

Joe 919-632-6794
Looking forward to a good turn-out!

Big thanks to the MAGMA club for making this wonderful day at Glendon possible.  Here are few pictures from our digging spot.  Much of the day was overcast and dreary -- perfect for digging.  On a cloudy day the light is scattered so much that shadows begin to disappear.  That means the shadow of your fat head doesn't get in the way of digging and the sun isn't deep frying your neck.

Specimen finds soon to follow.  We still have to split them up between the four of us.  Dave, Joe, Mark, and myself.

Here are a few more shots from Glendon.
Thanks again to Rick and MAGMA for hosting this dig.
It's always a great day at Glendon! Smiley

The last of these 3 pics shows some of the blasting down by the catch pond.
Between the yellow caution tape and the pond is where they have been blasting
and we were not allowed into that area at all.
Looks like they are gearing up for a lot more traffic in this area.
No telling what changes in landscape may be coming! Cool

And doesn't this look like your typical DOT crew you see
on the side of the road fixing a broken pipe or something? Grin
