Burgin Mine Inclusions

Here's a couple specimens each with very unique inclusions.  The first is what appears to be a chlorite cast of what used to be another mineral -- perhaps something like calcite, siderite, or dolomite.  Notice also the phantom crystal that the inclusions appear to be growing off of.

The second shows the cavity of the formerly included mineral.  It was not filled with chlorite, mud, or limonite this time so it appears white.

Good stuff here, Scott!
That is SO neat to see the phantom crystal the "phantom" chlorite inclusions grew on!
Great pics!
You seem to think the white inclusions are empty.
Maybe there's some trace of dolomite/calcite there???

Yes, I have considered that there may still be the original mineral in the white one -- in which case would probably be calcite.  Perhaps I can get Ryan to get it tested for me!  Grin Shocked
