Just cleaning out the files.
I don't have but one of these left or I'd try and take some better pictures.
But the piece of mahogany lace obsidian that all four of these cabs came from was so sweet
I figure these are worth a post before delete. Wink

That's cool. How do you shape them?

The easiest way is to use a cabbing(cabochon) machine
to grind them down and then polish'em up.
And before that you'll need a saw to get it close to shape.
And then you'll need something else
and something else....
It can get expensive real quick. Tongue

I accidentally put some bleach water in that 10" saw recently.
I didn't think it would hurt anything. Might even clean things up.
Wrong! I came out the next day and it wasn't just rusted, it was corroded!
Ruined the blade and bearings. So that saw is down right now.

Best thing to do is keep your eye out for some little combo unit that someone is selling cheap.

Sorry about that saw that got corroded. I cut some yesterday with a tile saw with a blade that was much thinner than what came with the saw. It was my first time I had ever cut anything. Was just a 7" skil wet tile saw which I got for trade  but it was a whole lot of fun. Can you just polish them in a tumbler or do you use a buffing wheel of some sort. The grinding wheels you got there look pretty neat.
