There is a similar type crocodile fossil in the Rankin Museum in Ellerbe, NC. Dr. Rankin who started the museum obtained it many years ago during road construction work where it was unearthed near the community of Covington on the border of Richmond and Montgomery counties which lies within the same Triassic basin sediments. You may have already been to that museum but if not, its well worth a trip to see it. The crocodile fossil and other NC fossils are on display as well. Thanks for posting this article.
