Rebecca and I had a great time today at Flint Ridge. Met Mrs. Nethers and left with 60 pounds of rock. Too tired to post photos, but you can see them on Facebook on my personal page and on Rick J's American Rockhounds page. Our son lives a mile from the western end of Flint Ridge Road, and we've been helping him get that property on the market as he moves closer to his job in Columbus. Tomorrow we drive to Atlanta to help dear family friends. Next week we may drive back home via Raleigh and may stop to visit you all if there's time.

I checked out the pics, pretty cool spot!  I could spend days out there!  Do they weigh your load and charge by the pound?

We were in area to help our son primarily and barely grabbed some time to finally get out to Flint Ridge. (Our prior trips always seemed to have no wiggle room.) Rebecca thought we would spend a few hours there. Based on what I've seen on line, I knew she wouldn't leave until the sun was setting! We got there at noon and left at 4:30, with Rebecca vowing to return.
