let me get a guess in before Gerald, the shark tooth expert.

weird shaped tooth with a lot of serrations,
i'm going to guess Great White and between an inch and an inch and a quarter long. Smiley

The shape suggests the shark genus Carcharhinus or requiem sharks.  They are difficult to nail down to species which include the bull shark, sandbar shark, oceanic white tip shark, silky shark, black tip shark, blue shark, copper shark, and the dusky shark to name a few of the more common ones.  It is definitely an upper tooth.  They tend to max out at about an inch or so.

Another sandbar shark tooth.  Probably not the same species, but in the genus or family.

Scott, I think you meant to say Wrightsville Beach.  Nice find!   We found a ton of stuff at Folly Beach a few weeks ago, they did some dredging and turned up all sorts of neat stuff!
