Today, I saw an Ebay ad for a raw Aquamarine crystal from Brazil.  I've often seen other specimens referred to as raw over the past two years.  What the hell do they mean?  Do they keep the crystals in the refrigerator so they don't spoil?  Do they taste like chicken when they're cooked?  Inquiring minds want to know.

I guess they just haven't cooked it yet, Dennis. I finally figured out that that's what they must mean when they say "Green Amethyst". It must still be raw, too. Wink

Joe,

I think you're right.  Although the Green Amethyst may not be ripe yet!   Cool

Yes, that's what I was thinking, green amethyst ain't ripe yet.
And just to be safe, you better keep that raw beryl in the freezer. Cheesy

I'll tell you another one I figured out recently, the Drusy Craze.
Yeah, I've been hearing for the last couple years how quartz drusy is so popular now. So since I have plenty of drusy I've been putting nice pieces out at shows and what not, and no one even looks at it, and I'm wondering, so where are all the people craving this drusy?
Finally figured out that it's the dyed purple and pink and blue and green stuff that is so sought after. The natural stuff doesn't even merit a look. Sad
