Any ideas?

Found this last summer and have it in the tumbler.
Could see the pink on the one end before the tumble.
The outside was all brown in color and it has slowly tumbled out.
Anyone have an idea what all it might be.
There is a small crystal pocket that is slowly showing up since tumbling started.

That's coming along real nice. Thanks for the pictures!
Real pretty pink and white. It's definitely an agate. The little vugs lined with druse crystals is pretty normal but the big stem in your first picture is unusual. I wonder if this agate formed inside a little vein of quartz?
I'd call it a keeper until you find another one like it. Wink

Pulled rocks out of the tumbler.
Here is some smaller ones with the same color hue as the big one. All found in the same area about a mile west of the house.

Really liked the color of this one.
Tight banding on these two.

Yes and yes! Nice colors on the first one and really nice tight banding on those last two. And getting a very nice polish on them all!
Thanks for the pictures.  Smiley

it has a lot of mixture in it.

3.Is it calcedony and chert mixture?

yes, ID, those all look great!
ya kno, one thing you look for in those tightly banded pieces like the two above, is signs of Iris Agate. Take a look at Google Images for Iris Agate if you never have before. It helps if the agate is fairly thin or cut into a slab for you to see the Iris.

If you'd like 'names' for these last 3, I'd call the first one a red and green mossy agate. #2 looks like a "Plume" agate like the slab I already had out pictured below.  Last one is very pretty clear chalcedony with a blue tint and something brown in it. Roll Eyes Reminds me of Montana Moss Agate except for the blue tint.

I would say 'Keep on Tumbling' but that wouldn't be a good idea with your shoulder.  Wink

Thanks Joe, I think the real red rock the other half found in the driveway. Came in in a load of shale rock.

I may be doing a lot of tumbling with afternoon thawing and a little melting.
Snow turning to ice around here. getting into our driveway the first 10 feet is solid ice now. Tried to bust it up a little to slick for the tractor and backhoe and to thick for a pry bar and my shoulder.
