Here's some larger pieces of Savannah River agate/chert I have in the yard. For various reasons I've kept these intact
except for the clams which I trimmed the bottom flat so it would display better. When I go and look for rocks at this location,
or any other for that matter, I always check to see if it is deer hunting season. I know that both sides of that dirt road are leased
by hunt clubs and I don't want to interfere with their hunting by making noise and chasing away the deer. RickB

Pretty colors, red bullseye

Druzy vug goes deep into the rock - gastropod on right side

That's a nice stash you got there. Good large size pieces and lots of fossils! The 'Clam King' is very nice. I've never seen a piece with that many clams in it! And in your 4th picture, that red and cream oval banded area at the bottom of the piece reminds me of 'Wonderstone Jasper'.
Very pretty pieces. Thanks for the pictures!

Some really amazing stone to have laying around in the yard. The shape of these stones is really cool and then there's the fossils. You've got some great specimens there.

Thanks Rob, I might take you up on a trip down there some time as it's been a few years since I've been there.

Might as well post some more photos. Here's some eye candy photos of some  that I collected years ago. I've tumbled some of it,
knapped some & cleaned up vuggy specimens.

Warning: Photo Heavy

Wow, that's a lot of SRA you've collected.  Do you have pictures of the stuff you've tumbled?

Scott here are a few photos of some that I could find in the shed without much difficulty.  Just took the photos outside today on
this dreary rainy day. Took forever to tumble these as it's some very hard material. Next time I decide to tumble any, I will grind
and pre-shape them.

Very cool. I love all the color in this agate. I've always wanted to get into tumbling, but I think I would lack the patience. Obviously you have and abundance of it, looking at all your work. Well done! Thanks for sharing.  Smiley
