Wow-good find and your pics are great!

sung to the tune of 'Green Acres'
Erosion is the thing for me
I just don't like to dig - you see
Picking rocks up right off the ground
is good enough for this lucky old rockhound

Looks like your doing very well.  Are you digging in an in situ vein, or are these surface finds?

thanks!  Smiley These were just a few pieces I cleaned from that day. Got more I've been cleaning and more stuff I haven't even got too yet. Ended up being a good day. Mostly smaller stuff but good none the less!
I hope to be able to go back sometime this week if the weather decides to cooperate....

Faden found in Montgomery Co. Found in a pocket with several other crystals. This is the only one I've seen like this from what I've got, but I still have 4 bags of stuff left to clean.
I didn't even know what it was until I went to Rocks and Locks shop in Greensboro a while back and saw some Faden crystals there, but they weren't locally found. I told them I thought I had a similar crystal but wasn't sure if it was. So I went back home and looked and didn't think anything of it, I just kept it because I thought it looked cool. I didn't know they were so rare until today. I went crystal hunting with Laurie and told him I thought I had a faden crystal but wasn't sure. I showed him a picture and he just about jumped out of his skin with excitement. It would be nice if there were more in the same vein.   Cheesy
